Alternative Investment Research and Technologies LLC (AIRT), a Credit Agricole Structured Asset Management company, partnered with the Center for International Securities and Derivatives Markets (CISDM) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in May 2005 to manage and distribute the CASAM CISDM Database and the associated CASAM CISDM Indices calculated from this database. The CASAM CISDM Database (formerly the MAR Database), was one of the first hedge fund and CTA databases and began tracking CTAs in 1979 and hedge funds in 1992. The database currently tracks qualitative and quantitative information for over 6000 hedge funds, fund of funds, CTAs, and CPOs.
